This week's episode of AEW Dynamite emanates from the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky! AEW hosts its first ever Tag Team Casino Gauntlet. Darby Allin comes face-to-face with Jon Moxley. Nigel McGuinness calls out Bryan Danielson for a Grand Slam match. Mariah May battles Queen Aminata, and much more!

Jon Moxley Chooses War
Dynamite opens with a video package of Jon Moxley talking about the evolution of The Blackpool Combat Club. Moxey says ego got out of control in AEW and he couldn't take it anymore. Moxley says he is no villain and no hero, but he knows why God put him here. Moxley says he is the one true king of these lands. Moxley then declares war.
Darby Allin is seen skateboarding into the building.
The Patriarchy Sends A Warning
Tony Schiavone reminds fans that Christian Cage won a contract that grants him a title match for the AEW World Championship at any time and place of his choosing. Cage tells the crowd to shut their mouths while he conducts his business. Cage asserts that he has aura and has carried AEW on his shoulders for the past year and a half. Cage reflects on how Killswitch, when he squeezed the neck of Cage, experienced a revelation about what he is and what Cage needs him to be. Cage calls Killswitch a monster and the most complete big man in the industry, while asserting that Killswitch belongs to him.
Cage addresses Bryan Danielson and his AEW World Championship, declaring that Danielson's days as champion are numbered. He warns Danielson that he will beat him so bad that he will wish that his wife, Brie Garcia, had been the one to suffer from CTE. Meanwhile, Kip Sabian is seen leaving the crowd after hearing Cage's comments.
Backstage, Don Callis is with Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita. Callis proposes that Ospreay team up with Fletcher tonight in the Tag Team Casino Gauntlet match for a chance to challenge the Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Ospreay mentions he has a lot on his shoulders at the moment, but Callis reminds him of the favor he's owed for allowing Ospreay to leave the Don Callis Family. Fletcher further pitches his case, and Ospreay says he can't say no. While everyone else is pleased with the decision, Takeshita looks on with disdain toward Ospreay.
TNT Championship: Jack Perry (c) vs. Lio Rush (w/ Action Andretti)
Perry immediately delivers stomps to Rush in the corner, taunting him as he does. Rush counters with a flurry of right and left punches, then hits Perry with a dropkick. Perry retaliates by throwing Rush face-first into the ring apron.
Back from commercial break, the referee ejects Andretti from ringside while Rush attempts a roll-up on Perry. Perry escapes. Rush responds with a pair of suicide dives to the outside. He follows up with a standing Spanish Fly, but Perry kicks out of the subsequent pin attempt. Perry executes a Snake Eyes into the turnbuckles, then a pair of suplexes. Rush attempts a springboard stunner but is greeted with a running knee strike from Perry, which secures the win.
Winner (And Still): Jack Perry
Backstage, "Hangman" Adam Page is with Renee Paquette. He declares that if he could track down every house Strickland has ever called home, he would have burned them all. Page says he would have spent an eternity in pain just for chance to punish Strickland for what he did to him and his family. Page warns that anyone who tried to shield or protect Strickland will face his wrath.
Page then encounters Top Flight, the Dark Order, and others as he moves through the area. Eventually, he comes face-to-face with Jeff Jarrett, who confronts him aggressively. This leads to a brawl, with Page throwing Jarrett onto a heap of steel chairs.
Private Party and Komander are in the ring in preparation for their trios match. Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and PAC ambush Private Party and Komander. Jon Moxley later joins them in the ring. PAC says AEW is a broken company and feels that what happened at AEW All Out was inevitable. PAC admits to feeling lost for a long time, but now with the help of Moxley, he's found a purpose.
Ricochet vs. Sammy Guevara
Ricochet dropkicks Guevara to the outside and takes him out with a suicide dive. Guevara and Ricochet trail up the entrance rap and trade strikes. Guevara sends Ricochet face-first into the entrance tunnel frame. Guevara climbs up to the top of the tunnel and lands a moonsault on Ricochet.
Back from break, Guevara takes down Ricochet with a dropkick, then a baseball slide, sending Ricochet flying up the ramp. Ricochet whips Guevara toward the ring apron, but Guevara nails him with an elbow. Guevara then flies onto Ricochet, who is still standing on the outside. Ricochet drops Guevara onto the ramp. Ricochet jumps onto the barricade and lands a senton. Back in the ring, Ricochet lands a springboard clothesline and a running Shooting Star Press, but Guevara kicks out of his pinfall. Ricochet delivers a series of kicks to Guevara chest until Guevara ducks. Ricochet kicks him in the mid-section. Guevara jumps but Ricochet catches him. Guevara counters into a Canadian Destroyer.
Guevara goes off the top and lands a cutter. Guevara misses a shooting star press but lands a GTH. Ricochet responds with a roundhouse kick and an axe kick to Guevara's head. Ricochet follows up with a Vertigo for the win.
Winner: Ricochet
After the match, The Beast Mortos attacks Ricochet. Guevara grabs a steel chair to chase Mortos off. Guevara and Ricochet shake hands in a show of respect afterward.
Darby Allin Comes Face-To-Face With Jon Moxley
Moxley, with Marina Shafir, says nothing has changed between him and Allin. Allin stops him and reminds Moxley that they both came from nothing.
Alin says he doesn't take anything for granted and says AEW gave him everything. Allin says his efforts to look for a hero in his first year in wrestling yielded bad results, but Moxley was different. Allin says Moxey loves wresting. Allin remembers wresting Moxley in a high school on the independent scene. Allin says he lost the match but gained the confidence to share the ring with someone like Moxley. Allin questions Moxley's recent actions against Bryan Danielson and says he doesn't want to be like him anymore.
Allin asks Moxley why he keeps calling him out. Moxley says Allin was supposed to have a world title match at AEW Grand Slam, but the champion Danielson is now out action. Moxley says Allin isn't ready and demands that Allin hand the title shot over to him.
Allin calls Moxley stupid and self-entitled. Allin tells Moxley that if he wants the title shot so bad, to do something about it. Moxley says he will earn it by beating Allin at Grand Slam, with his title shot on the line. Moxley tells Allin he will never be AEW World Champion. Moxley vows to teach Allin a lesson the hard way. Allin accepts Moxley's challenge.
Mariah May vs. Queen Aminata
May and Aminata trade strikes. Aminata then takes down May with a clothesline and a running kick. Aminata looks for a hip attack, but May evades it and kicks her. May traps Aminata between the ropes and pulls on her neck. May delivers a dropkick to Aminata. May then goes to the outside and kicks Aminata as she lays over the apron.
Back from break, May connects with a dropkick. May slaps Aminata across the chest. Aminata responds with a kick and a roll-up, but May kicks out. Aminata lands a pair of suplexes and a running kick on May. Aminata covers May, but May kicks out again. Aminata lifts May up but May escapes and responds with a hanging DDT. Aminata chops and slams May to the mat for a two-count. Aminata goes up top for a stomp but May rolls out of the way. May hits a dropkick and a running knee. May then follows up with a Storm Zero for the win.
Winner: Mariah May
Post-match, May says she still hasn't had her AEW Women's Championship celebration. May says something and someone is missing. May calls for Mina Shirakawa to come back to AEW.
Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith & Big Bill vs. Iron Savages
Jericho and Boulder start the match with a lock-up. Bill then tags in and takes a clothesline from Boulder. Keith and Jacked Jameson tag in next, with Keith sending Jameson crashing to the mat. Jericho is tagged in and secures the win by pinning Jameson.
Winners: Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith, and Big Bill
After the match, Jericho shows off his designer jacket. Jericho demands his $7,000 back, but feels that Orange Cassidy won't give him it back, so in the meantime, he'll keep taking Cassidy's things, like his backpack. Jericho reveals a framed photograph of Cassidy, Kris Statlander, Chuck Taylor, and Trent Beretta in Cassidy's bag. Jericho tells Cassidy to forget about his friendships and pay Jericho back.
Cassidy appears on the big screen and says he'll pay Jericho back, though he doesn't have all the money on him right now. Much to Jericho's dismay, Mark Briscoe and Kyle O'Reilly then dump a pile of coins into Jericho's Bentley via a dump truck.
Nigel McGuinness Challenges Bryan Danielson
Nigel McGuinness says he was always seen as an afterthought to Bryan Danielson's success, that should have been his. McGuinness says Danielson is afraid of him because he is afraid of the one match that everyone wants to see. McGuinness says AEW President Tony Khan isn't afraid though. McGuinness then challenges Bryan Danielson to a match at AEW Grand Slam.
In a vignette, Hook challenges Roderick Strong to a match for the FTW Championship at any time and any place he wants.
AEW World Tag Team Title Number One Contendership Casino Gauntlet Match
FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) kick off the match against Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher. Ospreay takes down Wheeler in the ring and looks for an Os-cutter but Wheeler evades. Hardwood connects with a Liger Bomb on Ospreay but Fletcher breaks up the subsequent pinfall. Ospreay eats a superplex and splash combo from FTR. Vincent and Dutch enter the fray and go right after FTR. Vincent hits a senton for a two count on Wheeler. Vincent and Dutch attempt pinfalls on Ospreay and Harwood. Fletcher hits a cutter on Dutch.
Matt Taven and Mike Bennett enter next and double team Fletcher. Ospreay intercedes but gets hit with a Death Valley Driver and a running knee. Back from break, The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) enter. FTR double team Fletcher on the outside, while The Acclaimed target Bennett and Taven in the ring. The Acclaimed lay out Dutch for a pinfall, but Wheeler breaks it up. Mason Madden and Mansoor enter next and come face-to-face with the Acclaimed until Taven and Bennett attack them from behind. All teams continue to brawl inside the ring and at ringside. MxM and The Acclaimed team up to suplex Dutch, Vincent, Taven, and Bennett.
Darius and Dante Martin enter next and target Taven and Bennett before sending Wheeler over the top rope and to the outside. Dante takes down Ospreay with a hurricanrana, but Taven takes him out. Fletcher then disposes of Taven. FTR land a Shatter Machine but the entire field breaks up their pinfall attempt. The Outrunners enter next and deliver a series of body-slams. The Outrunners take out Vincent and Dutch on the outside. Grizzled Young Vets enter but are attacked by FTR on the stage. FTR and GYV then fight to the backstage area.
Mansoor is suplexed onto the competition, courtesy of Turbo Floyd. Fletcher lands a drop brainbuster on Bennett. Dante looks for a splash on Fletcher but meets Fletcher's knees instead. Ospreay connects with a Hidden Blade from behind. Fletcher pins Dante for the win.
Winners: Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay
Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher then stare down The Young Bucks as Dynamite goes off the air.
