Historians believe that Harappa and Mohenjo-daro, the two ancient cities of the Indus Valley Civilisation, gradually went towards extinction due to natural calamities, like excessive floods or droughts. The Indus Valley Civilisation was a Bronze Age civilisation in the northwestern regions of South Asia, lasting from 3300 BCE to 1300 BCE, and in its mature form at around 2600 BCE to 1900 BCE. Meanwhile, some scientists have a different interpretation. In June 2024, researchers claimed that these two cities were destroyed as a result of a nuclear explosion, stating that they found proof of such an incident! The horror of the atomic explosions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki shook the world in 1945. The global community also witnessed the damage caused by post-explosion radiation in Japan in the mid-20th Century! A section of scientists has claimed that the nuclear explosion had taken place thousands of years ago, too!
Billy Carson - an American scientist, the founder and CEO of 4BiddenKnowledge Inc, the best-selling author of The Compendium of The Emerald Tablets and Woke Doesn't Mean Broke, and the winner of the 2022 Stellar Citizens Award - has claimed that Harappa and Mohenjo-daro were destroyed because of nuclear explosion 3,700 years ago! According to Carson and other scientists, a thick layer of radioactive material is still lying over an area of seven and a half square kilometres, 16km west of western Indian city of Jodhpur. At present, this particular area falls within the Sindh Province of Pakistan.
The scientists and archaeologists started carrying out research in that specific area after tracing some radioactive materials. During excavation, they discovered an ancient housing colony there. Researchers are of the opinion that most of the people who used to live in that area had died of cancer! They have further claimed that the birth rate of healthy children was very low in that particular region. The radiation levels were so high that the area is cordoned off as a precautionary measure. Researchers have opined that a nuclear explosion occurred in that area 3,700 years ago, killing thousands of people and destroying many houses! Harappa and Mohenjo-daro are situated near that region.
Researchers have claimed that the nuclear explosion that had happened 3,700 years ago near Harappa and Mohenjo-daro had the similar impact as the atomic explosions in Japan in 1945. It means that the atomic bomb was invented thousands of years ago! According to researchers, the Mahābhārata (one of the two major Smriti texts and Sanskrit epics of ancient India revered in Hinduism, with the other being the Rāmāyaṇa) mentions a terrible explosion. It is mentioned in the Mahābhārata that the explosion made a shuddering sound, as people experienced terrible fire and smoke. The bodies were charred badly and it became difficult to recognise them. People even jumped into the nearby river to save themselves from the fire. Needless to state that the explosion also destroyed food grains.
Some researchers believe that a nuclear war had taken place in the cities of Harappa and Mohenjo-daro, with a nuclear explosion destroying a large part of the Indus Valley Civilisation! During the excavation, archaeologists noticed that skeletons are lying on both sides of an ancient street! It seems as if everyone reportedly was holding the hand of her/his loved ones at the time of death. In spite of being buried beneath the ground for so many years, the skeletons have not been particularly damaged. Archaeologists found that they did not die due to any accident after examining those skeletons.
Some Russian scientists have detected the presence of radioactive materials in those skeletons! After observing the amount of radioactivity in the skeletons, they have come to the conclusion that its amount was 50 times higher than normal! However, the exact explanation of how this amount of radioactivity was possible has not been found. As expected, these mysterious radioactive skeletons suggest that a nuclear blast destroyed the two ancient cities 3,700 years ago.
Meanwhile, most of the scientists have ruled out nuclear explosions behind the destruction of Harappa and Mohenjo-daro. According to them, the new theory about the extinction of Indus Valley Civilisation does not have conclusive evidences.
