Today's Bible Reading- Deuteronomy Chapters 1-3.
February's Memory Verse- Isaiah 43:1-3.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: overcast, 90% chance of rain, winds from the south southwest at 14 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 88%.
It's going to be a rainy day today, peeps. I'm a bit scatterbrained as I try to figure out what our menu will be this coming week. Things are on sale, but they're things we don't really eat. I mean, I could probably figure something out.
See, Pop has decided that on Tuesdays and Thursdays, he eats pork and rice for lunch. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, he eats this awful concoction of cottage cheese, canned beans, and blueberries. Yeah. All mixed together. Blech.
I could do like a fish and fries thing one night. I did that a few weeks ago. Not sure how much Mom would appreciate that, though. Hmm. I have a recipe here for gumbo. Maybe I could make that for Thursday and Friday. I had been thinking about chicken and dumplings. I don't know. Gumbo is spicy. Pop can't have a whole lot of spicy. The ginger chicken, although I toned it way down, was too spicy for him.
He loves spicy food, don't get me wrong. His body does not, though. Hmm. I need to think this out. In other news, I took my car in for an oil change yesterday and they made a comment that my rear main seal is leaking transmission fluid. I hope that's not an expensive fix. I got a feeling it is , though. I'm getting closer and closer to 300,000 miles on that car. I'm hoping it'll last for a good bit. We really don't have the money for another car.
Well, peeps. I need to get a move on. I have a menu to put together, groceries to buy, and a trip to the mechanic to see what possibly is the solution. Also, I have a fur baby that's demanding attention.
That's all for now. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
