Game Changer Wrestling is bringing in a couple of wrestling legends for GCW Dream On later this year.
The show is scheduled for Saturday, November 23 at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The venue is the largest indoor shopping mall in the United States, has its own theme park, and could potentially create an atmosphere similar to the first WCW Nitro at the Mall of America.
Earlier this week, Kurt Angle was announced for the event in what will be his first-ever appearance for GCW. On Thursday, GCW also confirmed Mick Foley will return to the promotion at Dream On, both announcements coinciding with tickets going on sale today.
While neither Foley nor Angle will wrestle on the show, GCW's booking of the legends illustrates how important an event Dream On is for the company. They aren't the only WWE Hall of Famers GCW has brought in recently either. JBL made a surprise appearance at GCW Homecoming last month, helping Mance Warner to win the Undisputed GCW title.
Other names advertised for GCW Dream On include Matt Cardona, Effy, Ricky Morton, Mance Warner, Sonny Kiss, Masha Slamovich, and Gringo Loco.
Tickets to another unique show GCW is running later this year, GCW Hawaii Mania, also go on sale today. The promotion's first-ever show in the state is scheduled for Saturday, November 2 at the Hawaii Convention Center near Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. Cardona, Steph De Lander, Warner, Danhausen, Effy, Mike Bailey, and Violent J of the Insane Clown Posse are advertised to appear.
Between bringing in well-known stars and booking unique venues, it appears GCW is investing in ways to get more eyeballs on its product as we head into the last few months of 2024.
