Be Still . . .
Devotionals for Daily Living ©
God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear, even if earthquakes come and mountains crumble into the sea.
(Psalms 46:1-2 (NLT))
The world that we live in is in a state of turmoil. We don't know from one day to the next if there will be terrorist attacks, terrible storms or economic hardships that will cause us to tremble in fear.
It is so wonderful to have a place of refuge. A place that provides us safety in times of trouble.
God is that refuge. He is that strength.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
(Psalms 91:4 (NIV))
When all around us is falling apart, take heart, for God is our refuge and our strength. We can turn to Him for shelter.
We must turn to Him in all things, though. He is not simply a God who provides refuge when the going gets rough. He is a God who provides for all of our needs at all times.
To many people, God is their refuge in times of trouble. Is He your refuge in times of good as well?
Is God your refuge and strength?
