So, after Saturdays snafu the plants are all back in place and things were getting back to normal. Rug needs professional cleaning but other than that, I just need to wash the floors, etc. At least that's what I thought.
When I went downstairs, the shutter had knocked the lame over on the side table and I hoped my cat statues weren't broken. I thought Daisy had pushed it the night before, even though I knew that wasn't the case. Went into the laundry room and found a plant on the floor and a mess. I just cleaned the laundry room yesterday, the plant shouldn't have fallen down.
My daughter came over and carried all the plants back downstairs and showed me how to use something on the tv. We looked for the cat outside, but didn't find her. My daughter left and I was in the kitchen, then walked past the dining room door and saw the cat trotting across the floor meowing.
It was like a horror movie, when someone is in your house and you never knew it. There was no way she could have gotten in which meant...she had been in my house since Saturday and just didn't know it. I thought she left. I have been looking for her all day and can't find her. When my daughter moved, last time, they all left in tears because they couldn't find their cat. The house was completely empty. They had searched over and over again and even went around the neighborhood. They moved, and my grandson went back one more time and she was sitting in the middle of the floor. No one knows where she was. Same thing with me, except she's living in my house and may have kittens in my house and I have no idea where she is. I have looked EVERYWHERE, except where she is.
So the phantom cat is wandering around. I put food and water out for her but so far, she has not eaten anything.
So that's where we're at today.
