Several updates are available regarding the future of All Elite Wrestling's media rights.
A new agreement for Warner Bros. Discovery to continue airing AEW programming is "a done deal" according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. It will also involve the company's pay-per-views streaming on MAX.
"The WBD deal is a done deal and there are going to be changes," Meltzer said on the show. "There is going to be a pay-per-view component in this deal."
According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, there have also been talks between AEW and Fox, potentially for a show using the recently trademarked name "AEW: Shockwave."
"There is speculation in the TV world and within AEW that AEW and Fox have had talks, although that isn't confirmed," he wrote. "AEW is still expected to reach a deal with WBD, but it would appear exclusivity might not be happening."
Tony Khan addressed his company's future media rights agreements during the AEW All Out post-event presser on Saturday. He said that while the deal is not yet finalized, he believes there is a 90 percent chance it will be announced within the next month.
"Over the duration of this deal, I expect, over this multi-year period that we're about to enter into, that we will be the second most profitable wrestling company in the history of the wrestling business," Khan said on the pre-event media call.
