Today's Bible Reading- Psalms Chapters 63-70.
July's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:11-12.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well and staying cool. Our forecast for today: 91°, sunny, no rain, winds from the north northeast at 6 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 83%.
So, we survived the weekend! Welcome to July, friends! Saturday afternoon, I got a notification that we would be in a heat advisory for most of Sunday. From noon until 8:00 at night. Ollie's was having a big sale on everything in the store, and I was able to convince Pop to go get an air conditioner for the dining room area.
It was a lot of money, but it was worth it. Our heat index yesterday went up to 107°.
I don't think it'll be like that today, but even with the new a/c, it was in the lower 80s in the house. Add humidity to that and it's tough. Anyhoo. Praise the Lord for a new a/c unit in the front part of the house!
Today has a heavy agenda. I don't know if I'll get it all done, but I'll certainly try to. I have ledgers to balance, tithes to pay, Mom needs more insulin, laundry needs done, and supper will be sloppy joes.
It doesn't sound like a lot to do, but it is.
Yesterday, the chicken dinner turned out delicious. Thank the Lord for that. I also was able to get some work done on a sock. I think that once I'm finished with that little project, I'll work on a blanket. I have a blanket that I was working on, but I found a different pattern. I think I'll do that one instead. It should turn out interesting.
July is going to be an interesting month. Tennessee has declared it a month of fasting and praying for America and for the state of Tennessee. The pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in California, Jack Hibbs, has his congregation joining in to pray for America and for California. Mom and I are going to be praying for South Carolina and America. Steve Bannon is going to federal prison today for a misdemeanor that, incidentally, someone in the current regime is claiming the same privilege he claimed but they aren't being put in prison like he is. Two-tiered justice system. Rule for thee and none for me. President Trump will be sentenced on the 11th of this month. Ridiculous. Just days before the Republican convention.
If you'd like to, join us in prayer this month. Pray for your state/country, and pray for America; that the Lord will have mercy on us and save us. Only He can save us.
That's all I have for now, peeps. Gracie has stolen my chair. I need to get around and get stuff done before it gets too hot. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
