Devotionals for Daily Living © I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." (Jeremiah 31:25 (NIV)) If you are like me, you have experienced times in your life where you are weary. You have experienced times in your life where you are faint of heart. We are only human, and we will all experience things thrown at us by this world that will get us down. These things will make us lose sight of where we should place our trust. When this happens, look up! "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 (NIV)) Our hope is not of this world. Our hope is firmly placed in Jesus, for He alone is worthy to be praised. When the current state of the world gets you down, it is time to check the current state of your faith in Jesus.
