Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 77°, overcast, 60% chance of rain, winds from the south southwest at 4 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 93%.
So. A couple of days ago, Pop came home with a huge tv he bought for $40. It's 46 inches. My goodness. It's a huge tv. He was intending on making it the monitor for the security camera, but the setup for the cameras is in the laundry room. That tv would take up 2/3 of one wall in the laundry room! So. . . last night he suggested switching it out with the tv we already have in the living room, which is 32 inches. We spent a good portion last night getting everything switched. I thought the tv was a Roku tv, but it turns out that it's not. It's just a regular tv and it came with a Roku. We also had a little trouble connecting my sound bar, but in the end we were able to get it done.
Mom made some bbq last night. Her own concoction. It was like smoky sloppy joes. It was so good. I pulled some radishes from the garden and harvested a cucumber from the greenhouse. I'm not sure why, but the cukes in the greenhouse are a little bitter. I haven't quite pegged down the best time to harvest them. Also, the radishes in the garden are not two varieties. They are just the French Breakfast ones. Tasty, though!
In other news, the steri-strips are drying up. One fell off yesterday at some point. Not sure where. It's probably in the yard somewhere. They're almost like bits of paper. Very itchy, though, when they dry up. I'm hoping they all come off before I see the doctor on Tuesday.
Gracie woke me up at 2:11 this morning. Yowling and meowing and making a racket to get me up. Her bowl was empty. I filled it up and went back to bed. Then, she got me up at 6:45 this morning. She was ready for nom noms, and she wanted Mom to give them to her. She's curled up on the bed now, listening to my typing and half watching me with one eye. Very clingy today, that one.
I'm not sure what today holds. I'm thinking we need to go get the tomatoes and the tater tots. I have some laundry I could do. We're supposed to be getting some pretty gnarly weather today, so outside work isn't really doable today.
Maybe before the weather gets super bad, I can get a few weeds picked in the garden and set up some bamboo stakes with the tomatoes and cucumbers. We'll see. It's all very up in the air today.
