people feel
or say
they are broken
or someone they know
is broken
but I don't believe
that people
are broken
it's this place
that's broken
a place built
on violence
slavery
hatefulness
and never ending
suffering and
dichotomies
and yet
we expect
to love
trust
be kind
happy
be treated nicely
fairly
and with respect
when the entire
set up
is determined to
destroy those very things
like the above picture
the person is whole
the things she sees
are broken
so people
need to give themselves a break
if your alive
happy in any way at all
not doing evil things
getting up everyday
and being kind
and polite
then you're doing great
if you love animals
some of the people around you
flowers
trees
and the other living beings
on the planet
then know that
you are fabulous
because everything
in this place is a trap
so just keep dancing
and laughing
and ignoring
the ugly things
that are trying
to purposely make you feel bad
to drag you down
stop playing the game
turn off the news
it's all lies and propaganda
it's there to torture you
to frighten you
good news is withheld
on purpose
this is a game
and we can stop playing
it's a bad play
we can turn into a good one
by changing the plot
the dialogue
the ending
change what you believe
change the way you think
and live
change what you can
stop needless suffering
get out of any rut you're in
think outside the box
take baby steps but
realize that you are
not broken
the system is
and that way
the game can never win
you can no longer be manipulated
I believe
the bad guys are currently
fighting for their lives
they see the change that's coming
they fear losing their power over us
so they are working overtime
to scare everyone
but brave the storm
and know that peace
is on the other side
it's not going to be easy
not everyone will make it
but they can't win against
people dedicated
to happiness
and freedom
be creative
creativity
love
the desire for freedom
and joy
are the antidotes
to evil
be nice
when you can be
and remember
it's the mirror
that's broken
it's not you
