I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
(John 10:9 (NIV))
What do you think of when you think of a door?
Is it an entrance into something else, or is it a barrier that is meant to keep you out?
If you have professed a faith in Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, He is the door that leads to eternal life. He is the door that allows you to move from the law of sin and death to an eternity of grace, mercy and love.
If you have not professed a faith in Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, He is the door that your pride and the enemy uses to keep you trapped in sin and death. He is the door that the enemy uses to keep you from an eternity of grace, mercy and love.
He is the same door with the same things on either side. It is your understanding and your pride that determines what you will experience. He extends to all the very same grace and mercy. All that you have to do is accept that grace and mercy as your own.
Are you trapped on the wrong side of this door? Do you long for grace, mercy and love?
Opening this door is as easy as ABC.
A is for admit that you are a sinner in need of a savior.
B is for believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Him from the dead.
C is for confess that Jesus is Lord!
If Jesus is the door, you have possessed the key all along. Admit, believe and confess and the door will be opened!
Have you entered through Jesus?
