Be Still . . .

I and the Father are one."
(John 10:30 (NIV))
Have you ever heard anyone say that Jesus never claimed to be God?
I don't know about you, but these words appear about as clear as you can get.
The reaction that they received when they were spoken by Jesus is the same reaction that we see today. People become enraged even when confronted with evidence of the truth of the words.
Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?"
(John 10:31-32 (NIV))
What is your reaction?
Are you enraged, nonchalant, or overwhelmingly excited about the truth that they contain?
The choice is yours!
However, there are consequences to your reaction. Just as the people who wished to stone Jesus faced judgment and condemnation, if you deny the truth contained within these words, you, too, will face judgment and condemnation.
It doesn't have to be this way!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
(John 3:16-21 (NIV))
It is a matter of faith. It is a matter of belief that Jesus is who He says He is.
Have you believed?
