Today's Bible Reading- 2 Samuel Chapters 14-16.
April's Memory Verse- 1 Thessalonians 5:14-17.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 84°, partly cloudy, winds from the southwest at 5-9 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 76%. No rain today.
I didn't get as much done yesterday as I had hoped. I had a pretty intense itinerary, though. I made it to Ollie's and got a weed eater. Had a 10% off coupon, too, so that helped. Then, I came home, made a smoothie, drank part of it, put the weed eater together and started mowing the yard. It took me a little over two hours to get the yard mowed, and then I got part of the weed eating done. I plan to finish that today. I'm so happy I used the mower by myself! I did get a little scared. I didn't have my ear mufflers on, but I had ear plugs in. Still, I got off balance and thought I was going to fall off the mower. I got really scared. It was right when I was finishing up the back yard, so before I did the front yard, I went in the house and found my ear muffs. That really helped.
I got one load of laundry done, and it's still in the dryer. I'm pretty sore today. Supper was slow-cooked turkey breast, leftover fettuccini alfredo, and salad. The turkey turned out really well. A little dry, but flavorful. I had a meeting to attend last night, so we had supper early.
Today, I'll be a little more realistic in my plans. I'd like to finish the weed eating, prep the garden for planting. I'm not sure I'll plant today, but there are a few weeds in the bed that need pulled out. I need to open the greenhouse for fresh air. Um, maybe toss in a load of laundry. Ledgers are a good idea.
I'm going to be a little more forgiving of myself today if I don't get all this done. I'm for sure finishing the weed eating. I know that. The rest is up in the air.
Supper tonight will be a rice bowl. I'm going to try and recreate a rice bowl I had when my bestie came to visit. Yellow rice, street corn, black beans, and I'll use the leftover turkey. I think I'll dice the turkey up and maybe put some Jamaican jerk seasoning on it. Yes. That sounds so good. I have some pepper and onion, too, so maybe I could chop that up and make it like a little fajita blend. I don't know. That may be too much. We'll see.
Gracie is unsettled today. Not sure why. I wonder if she's missing my chair. I'll have to pop in a load of laundry and get my robe washed so she can have her little nap nook back.
That's all I have for now, peeps. Oh! I found out I have another convention to go to. My goodness. This one is the state convention for the GOP. They haven't announced it yet, but peeps in the know already know the date. Kind of ridiculous that the state chair of the GOP hasn't made a call to convention when it's two weeks away. I have my thoughts on that, but they aren't very nice. I'll keep them to myself, if you don't mind. The chair we have hasn't been very nice to those of us who have called him out for his tyranny and acting more like a Democrat than a Republican. Just saying. He made a rule that if county parties don't toe the line, he can dissolve them and take it over. He recently did that to one of our county parties. Ridiculous. Is he a communist? Rhetorical question.
I gotta stop or I'll get to ranting. Love you all and I hope you have a wonderful day today. I'm going to enjoy being outside working. Until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
