April 16

Well, my Africa posts are done now, we went to Kenya and Tanzania in July of last year and it took me quite a while to process all my photos and sort them out. The end of the Africa posts kind of makes me sad as I loved reliving all the memories and moments we had. Since Africa, we have traveled to a few other countries and I can't tell you how far behind I am on my photo editing and sorting. Well, actually I can tell you, I'm VERY far behind but one day I will be caught up !

But in the meantime.......

Clint and I belong to a photography club, we used to belong to 4 but we're down to one now. I love this club, it's very social and lots of fun and even though we only have one meeting a month (and then go for lunch) we also have Fun Days.

This past Wednesday was a Fun Day and about 13 of us met in Port Hope, about 45-60 minute drive from where we live, to visit a place called Primitive Design. This place is amazing and in all the years I have lived in this area, I have not been to this spot and it was delightful. We all wandered around the property, taking photos and visiting and then, of course, we all met for lunch at a local restaurant.

They have an 8000 square foot gallery and numerous outdoor tents. Everything is handmade and items come from places such as Thailand, Nepal, Morocco, India and more. I took some photos of a little of this and a little of that as I wandered around. After a bit, my friend Bill and I sat on the back of his truck for a visit and he also took this photo (below).....(obviously)....of me! with my camera.

SIDENOTE: If you want to see some fantastic photos, visit my friend Bill Bickle's website, he is amazing. billbickle.com

I am just going to post a bunch of photos so you can see what this place was like and hope you enjoy! If you are local and haven't been here, go check it out !
