Today's Bible Reading- 1 Samuel Chapters 4-7.
April's Memory Verse- 1 Thessalonians 5:14-17.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 79°, mostly cloudy, 10% chance of rain, winds from the southwest at 10 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 77%.
Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. Christ is risen indeed! One of these days I'll get to see Him face to face. That fills me with a nervous excitement.
Saturday was a long day. I mowed the yard using the riding mower. Mom suggested I put an ear plug in my left ear to help with the balance issue. I did that and I also put on some ear muff things. You know, the kind you wear when you target practice at a shooting range. I didn't get off balance once. It was nice.
Unfortunately, I now look like a lobster! I didn't realize the sun was so warm and bakey and I got myself a nice shiny, red burn across my arms and shoulders and neck. Gives new meaning to the term 'redneck'. Anyhoo.
Dinner yesterday was halfway decent. Simple. Ham, sweet potato casserole, baked beans, crescent rolls, and Jello salad.
Also, Lent is now over so I can see what all I've missed in my games today. I may do that after I've gotten my laundry started.
Last night was interesting. Heard a loud pop and thought someone fired a gun outside our house. Went out to investigate and didn't see anything. Pop went around the RV to investigate and turns out it wasn't a gunshot. The battery in the RV exploded.
Thelma brought us a present yesterday evening, too, and I'd intended on burying it today. A critter took it, though. It was one of the biggest rats I've ever seen. Not like a rat you see in the pet stores. Nope. It looked like a field mouse on steroids. It was huge!
Ah! One of my sunberry plants has buds on it! The cucumbers are doing really well. The muncher cucumber definitely needed another cuke plant. It has a bunch of baby muncher cukes on it. The dragon cuke is starting to get flowers as well. Those are going to be long and thin cucumbers.
The older blueberry bushes are loaded with baby blueberries! That's exciting. Also, I spread the fertilizer on the garden bed on Saturday and Pop tilled it into the soil. Now we wait for that last cold snap and then we plant.
Today will be ledgers, laundry, and checking on my games. Ledgers will take a while. I took a couple of days off. I also need to get my hair up and get my shower quickly so I can put more aloe on my sunburn.
That's all for now, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
