Denim is a fun fabric to work with as its quite durable, comes in a variety of colours and finishes, and instantly adds that "cool" factor to any project. While new yardage is available from your local fabric store, you likely have a terrific source of denim already in your closet or drawer. How many pairs of Jeans do you own, and how many of them are in need of some repair, or have you or someone in the household grown out of them?
Instead of throwing them away or simply patching them, why not transform them into something else more useful, like a tote bag, as I created below?
