Today's Bible Reading- 1 Samuel Chapters 1-3.
March's Memory Verse- John 14:6.
"Jesus told him, ' I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' " John 14:6 ISV (International Standard Version)
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 77°, mostly sunny, winds from the southwest at 5-17 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 70%. No rain, either.
Happy Easter, my friends! I know that technically it's tomorrow, but I don't write on Sundays. So Happy Easter early! He is Risen indeed! I'm on my second cup of coffee and I'm sharing a graham cracker with Gracie. She's a fan.
I didn't get the yard mowed yesterday. I did get some termite killing foam. Did I tell you about the termites? I don't remember. I found termites in my bedroom wall. Boo. I put some of the foam on a couple of minutes ago. I hope it works.
I also bought some strawberry plants yesterday and planted them. Looking forward to yummy strawberries this summer. I also cleaned up a corner of the yard that was a little junky. Had some things that needed tossed that hadn't been tossed, so I gathered them up. Made sure there were no widows or recluses and put them in a trash bag and popped them in the trash can. Good idea because maybe 20 minutes after I did that, the trash peeps came. Ha!
Today, the focus is the yard. I want to have a nicely mowed yard for Easter.
Oh! The largest of my three sunberry plants has buds on it! Yay! I transplanted my alpine strawberry plant to a container yesterday. The lemon trees look like they're getting baby lemons on them. The tomato plant that has tomatoes on it is a little sickly. The cucumber plants have taken off. The bok choy plants have seed pods on them. The leaf lettuce that volunteered is getting ready to bolt.
The squash is doing great, but I think it's getting too much water. the little squashes grow so far and then rot out. I'm pretty sure it's because there's too much water.
I treated the ant mounds yesterday. Hopefully they disappear for a long time.
Another thing we need to do is fertilize the garden bed today. Cultivate that into the soil. Not sure we should plant yet, though. Traditionally, you'd plant on Good Friday, but we still have a cold snap headed our way. Pop wants to plant, though, so we'll probably plant today.
That's all I have for now, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
