My Pondering
The great leaders of the Bible were men after God's own heart first and foremost. They loved God. They respected, admired, and served Him. Not only were they willing servants they also became friends but and partners with God.
We gather in Jeremiah:
When heroes of God where focused on God, when God was the apple π of their eye π️, they did amazing things:
Abraham's triumphant faith, explorations and growth.
Moses's awesome miracles over Pharaoh, freedom flight of the Israelites, crushing victories in the dessert and elevates mountain 1on1 experiences with God.
Jeremiah's leadership into the promised land with his cohort Caleb.
David's slaying of Goliath, patient dealings with Saul and glorious triumphs as King himself, a man whom God said was after His own heart in a most excellent manner.
...and on and on.
But when they took their eye π️ off God'a will and way, they stumbled and fell.
Let's keep God as the apple π of our eye and desire of our heart ♥️.
