I know you look at me
through telescopes
I seem so far away
don't I
but that's only because
you're locked onto that little planet
of yours
and I wasn't always here
stories passed down
talk about when I appeared
but then they would
since I'm not a natural object
I'm what you would call
a hollow spy system
where your rock is monitored
all kinds of beings visit me
it's a standing joke
that many of you think I'm real
even after your scientists
heard me ringing like a bell
for over half an hour
when I was hit by something
I rang
because I'm made of metal
cheese

you thought I was made of
cheese
wow
you humans are a piece of work
there are bases all over me
but since you're lied to
about everything
and trained to believe the lies
you probably won't even believe me
it's hard to recognize the truth
when you've never seen it
