Today's Bible Reading- Leviticus Chapters 1-3.
February's Memory Verse- Isaiah 43:1-3.
"Don't be afraid, because I'm with you. Don't be anxious, because I am your God. I keep on strengthening you; I'm truly helping you. I'm surely upholding you with my victorious right hand. " Isaiah 41:10 (International Standard Version)
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. I'm a bit grumpy this morning. Let's have a looksy at what my area will be like today.
Our forecast for today: 58°, sunny, no rain, wind is calm for now, and humidity is sitting at 90%.
Before I grump, I just gotta say that I'm so grateful that the Lord helped me yesterday. I got the menu together. I got the grocery list together. He helped me get the groceries under budget. Thank You, Jesus! I'm truly thankful for His help.
Now the grumps. The neighbor's cats have taken over Thelma's bed. They come over. They eat her food, take her bed, turn my flower bed into a litter box. It's very annoying. They just keep breeding. It's very annoying. That's my grump.
Other than dealing with that, which I have no remedy other than move or shoot cats. The latter isn't something I'm going to do. My mom told me that when I was little , the neighbor who has all the cats thought my mom did something that she didn't do. Instead of trying to get to the bottom of it, the neighbor decided to get retribution and left a dead kitten in our mailbox. Ick. I don't want to hurt these cats. I just want them to go home. Stop making me spend $80 a week in cat food.
Okay. I guess that now the grumps are over. I've ranted. What's on my agenda today? I have the last of the laundry to finish. I have fish water to change. I have seeds to start. I have ledgers to balance. It's going to be okay.
I also have a sweater to work on. Mom wanted burgers and fries last night, so that's what we had. Jamaican chicken and rice will be tonight! I'm kind of looking forward to it.
It's a beautiful sunny morning here, and it looks like the sun will be shining the whole day. I need to get out in it and soak up some vitamin D. Breathe the fresh air. Smell the pine trees and the grass. Check the greenhouse. Get the trash out.
At some point, I need to start going over to storage and start going through everything and getting rid of things that need gotten rid of. I think my mom is afraid I'll trash some family heirloom, but my biggest concern is the fact that I found a snake skin in there a couple of years ago. Haven't really been back since then. I also found a bird's nest. Yeah. It's not really climate controlled.
Also, I need to pull the push mower out and have Pop look at it. That'll probably be on Saturday. I think this year should be the year we really declutter and try to get the barn organized and get all Pop's tools out there. Reclaim our dining room. Maybe we can have Thanksgiving dinner in the dining room this year, Lord willing and we're still here.
When my cousin popped in the other night, I'd fully expected him to ask my parents to move out to South Dakota to help with the organization he's over. It was mentioned half jokingly a couple of times. If that were to happen, though, the question would be if I should go or not. Personally, I'd rather stay here and work on fixing the house up.
Okay. At this point, I'm rambling. I could be already dressed and working on things. I do want to look at the ledgers today. Get a feel for how our finances are doing. I also have to make a couple of adjustments.
That's all for now, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
