Today's Bible Reading- Exodus Chapters 22-24.
January's Memory Verse- Isaiah 41:10.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 68°, rain (90% chance), winds from the south at 12 miles per hour, and humidity is 100% right now.
It's raining fairly hard right now. I love it. Rainy days and foggy days are comforting to me. It got super foggy last night, and I went for a drive in it. Rolled my window down and smelled the wet leaves, the wet earth, the water down in the marsh.
I have another comfort today. I have a candle lit that my best friend sent me for Christmas. It's an aromatherapy candle. Lavender. The wrap on the outside of the candle jar says Sending you a big hug.
Not gonna lie, the depression has been real this week. I haven't felt good at anything. I haven't felt useful. I've let things get me down. I'm choosing today to get back up, dust the dirt off and keep moving. Sure, we're entering into some hard times, but the Lord has never failed. I forgot that for a minute or two. I've seen Him work a miracle before. I know He can provide for our needs.
Pop has already told our lawn care guy, Mr. B, that we can't afford him this year. That's incentive to get the push mower fixed.
Also, the Lord sent me something to cheer me up. The local library is having a seed swap on Saturday. It's free and I don't have to register for it. I just show up with some seeds to swap. I may go. I need to get out more for fun things. I don't do that much anymore.
I'm stuck on Mom's sweater. I'm at the next point for what I need to do, and I don't understand the pattern at all. I have 147 stitches. I need to start shaping the shoulders for the back piece. I'm going to write the exact pattern instructions, and if you can help me make sense of this, I'd appreciate it. Here it goes: "Keeping continuity of pattern, cast off 13 stitches beginning next 4 rows, then 12 stitches beginning following 4 rows. Cast off remaining 47 stitches."
Oh my word. I just figured it out. Facepalm. What a derp I am. Now I just have to find that stretchy bind off video. Okay. Cool. Thank You, Jesus! It's amazing what a little sleep will do.
It is rainy today, but since it's going to be warmer, I may take the hose to the inside of the greenhouse today.
That's about all I have for now, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
