Imagine trust as an energy source – on one side you have energy added (charging) and the other for removing energy (discharging). In our daily interactions, we either contribute to someone's trust energy or diminish it. The ways in which we add energy are outlined below:-
ENERGY Chargers🔋

When we consistently deliver on our promises and commitments, we add energy to the trust battery. People feel secure when they can rely on us. - Empathy
Demonstrating empathy and actively listening to others can significantly charge their trust battery. It shows that we care about their feelings and perspectives. - Transparency
Being open and honest builds trust. Transparency helps eliminate doubts and suspicions, fostering a stronger connection. - Support
Offering support, encouragement, and assistance when needed contributes positively to trust. Incorporating collaboration and teamwork into your interactions is a powerful way to charge the trust battery. It shows that you're there for others, which strengthens the bond. - Respect
Treating people with respect and valuing their opinions and ideas is essential. It's a fundamental aspect of trust-building.
ENERGY Drainers 🪫
- Broken Promises
Failing to fulfill promises or commitments can quickly drain trust, and also include low co-operation and fear. It erodes confidence in our reliability. - Deception
Any form of dishonesty, such as lying or hiding information, or self-interests, is like a trust battery drain. It undermines the foundation of trust. - Lack of Accountability
Not taking responsibility for our actions can harm trust. Not owning up to mistakes is a sign of low integrity. In an environment where asking challenging questions also leads to misunderstandings also lead to mistrust - Betrayal
Betraying someone's trust is the ultimate trust battery drain. It can be difficult to rebuild trust after being betrayed. - Negative Intentions
When people perceive that your intentions are selfish or harmful, it can deplete trust rapidly.
It is important that each leader, employee, stakeholder, supplier, and person related to the business operate to improve and increase Trust ENERGY.
Your mental toughness and resilience can serve as a source of inspiration and motivation, demonstrating how to overcome obstacles and setbacks.
