It is Christmastime in Blue River. Charlotte and Ally Sweet are run off their feet dealing with the holiday rush at Charlotte's Chocolate Heaven. Mrs. Bing, Mrs. Cale and Mrs. White are up to their usual shenanigans, eating chocolate and spreading gossip. It seems to be the season for crime in the small town of Blue River. Thefts and petty crimes are rife. Ally's hunky boyfriend, Detective Luke Elm, is flat out trying to ensure that Blue River is crime free and justice is served.
But things become far more serious when a resident of Blue River is found murdered. Mrs. Bing is determined to help find out who murdered her friend and asks Ally to join her in her investigative efforts. With a little help from Charlotte, Mrs. Cale and Mrs. White, as well as Ally and Charlotte's trusty companions, Arnold their pot-bellied pig, and Peaches their feline-friend, they do a little sleuthing. The sleuths reveal a mountain of clues and suspects and land up wrapped up in some risky situations. Has their luck run out or will they get a Christmas miracle?
Will the crooks be caught, and the murderer found in time for Christmas? Will the wrong person land up behind bars for the holiday season? Or worse, will one of the sleuths not be around to celebrate Christmas ever again?

The latest in the Chocolate Centered cozy mystery series by Cindy Bell is a fantastic addition to an already wonderful series. Ally and her grandmother, Charlotte, are crazy busy making and selling chocolate and treats for the holiday season but spirits are low because of a crime spree taking place in town. Ally's curiosity once again has her interviewing suspects and tracking down evidence to help her boyfriend, Luke, a detective with the local police department, find some answers. When someone close to her is found murdered, she redoubles her efforts which finds her in the middle of a puzzling investigation. I love the relationship between Ally and Charlotte; you can feel the love between them as you read. The supporting characters are enjoyable and each has their own personality which is wonderful. I can't begin to recommend this series enough as well as Ms. Bell's other amazing cozy series. Enjoy!
