I'll admit, I can't adapt well to modern Call of Duty games. While this is frustrating, I've put it down to a mixture of disability, fast-paced gameplay, or my age, but I still enjoy myself playing the game with my partner regardless.
However, the war mode yields a plethora of annoyances. In today's post, I'll be sharing the issues I've faced playing this game mode.
My stats: nothing to write home about!
Unbalanced matchmaking
I've seen people complain about the skill-based matchmaking feature in this game, but I genuinely question if it's even in the game sometimes.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting to be placed in lobbies where I can easily walk over players, but being constantly placed into games with players with a much higher skill level gets tiring.
Throw me a bone, Activision. I want to contribute to the team game, and I feel as if I'm being dragged around by my team.
A player eliminated me from under the map
Players get under the map
If you're on the attacking team, it is impossible to win if someone manages to get under the map. They can see you, they can contest the objective, and there isn't anything you can do.
I haven't heard of a method to hit them when they're performing this exploit. I genuinely don't know what fun people find in this, but I digress.
Eliminated by an out of bounds player
Players clip onto parts of the map they shouldn't be able to access
Here is yet another exploit that was present at the time I was writing this post. Unlike the previous exploit, these players can be dealt with by a more skilled player with good accuracy, but it's still frustrating to contend with.
An unfortunate spawn point
It's too easy to get spawn trapped
The spawn points in this game mode are easily manipulated. You can often find yourself in a perpetual loop of being killed, spawning again, and then spawning into another player. It is possible to break out of these traps, but I would've expected some spawn protection from Activision, but I digress.
