Thanksgiving can be very stressful if you are not prepared, so here are some how to steps on successfully pulling it off. - The first step to having a successful Thanksgiving is gathering your friends and family in one place. This can be a very stressful task, but it is the most crucial. Some tips to help are to make a group chat with everyone you want to invite, or make a Facebook page for an event and send links for people to join. Make sure this is "Creating a group chat makes it the first thing you do so people know when it starts, where to go, and what to bring. pretty easy to get everyone together, and Thanksgiving is always fun," senior Brady Myer said.
- Secondly is having exceptional decorations and setting the mood. Some decorations for Thanksgiving include leaf garlands, pumpkins, turkeys, cornucopias, elegant placemats and your finest serving ware. Decorating your house for Thanksgiving is a great way to immerse your guests in the holiday spirit.
- The next step to having a great Thanksgiving is preparing a delicious meal. Some popular choices for Thanksgiving dinner are: turkey (roasted, fried, basted, grilled), mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, ham, various vegetables, pumpkin pie, and much more. "My favorite Thanksgiving food is stuffing because it is just delicious, and I only eat it for this holiday," senior Joey Quatro said. One important tip to remember, you can always ask for help. If you are hosting Thanksgiving, you are not expected to make the whole meal. Many dishes need to be prepared, and it can be overwhelming, so ask for help and have everyone bring a dish to pass.
- Fourthly, one important step to having a wonderful Thanksgiving is not only having a stylish outfit, but a cozy one as well. You should look presentable, but be comfortable so you can eat all the food you want. Some suggestions for outfits are a sweater with leggings or stretchy pants, or a top with jeans. This holiday is not only about bringing families together but also about the meal and being grateful.
- Lastly, you should enjoy yourself. Although it can be stressful with planning and preparing, just remember what Thanksgiving is all about. This special holiday is about coming together, eating an exceptional meal, and being thankful for everything you have. Thanksgiving is a great holiday with many special traditions unique to each family. Some favored traditions include watching football games—this year the Lions and Packers play—going Black Friday shopping, and simply eating food like turkey, mashed potatoes, and assorted vegetables.
