Today's Bible Reading- Mark Chapters 11-12.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 70°, sunny, no rain, a few clouds here and there, good air quality, wind is calm at the moment and humidity is sitting at 86%.
The only thing I managed to get done yesterday was take Mom to the doctor and make supper. Oh, I did wash Gracie's bed. She kept howling and I followed her into the room where she showed me her pukefest on her new bed. Okay. I washed that and got it dry and back on the bed.
Today, I have yet to shower and get ready for the day. My stress level went from normal every day stress to crap. This is surely a testing of my faith, and I'm afraid I'm not scoring very well.
What happened? I got another hospital bill. My parents paid the ER doc bill, which was $974. I paid the radiology bill for the ultrasound, which was $109. I get an email today reminding me of a bill to pay. What bill? I open it up. It's the hospital bill. Y'all. It's over $2,000. I sent a letter to the health share I have to ask if I need to submit all the stuff or just that one bill. There's no way I can pay this. I mean, wow. The hospital adjusted my bill, too, because I'm considered self-pay. It was originally $4,500. Ouch!
If you think of it, help me pray that my health share will help me pay for this. They denied the doctor bill from when I had my ear problem. If they deny this one, I think I'll just look for health care elsewhere. Otherwise, what am I paying $257 a month for? That's almost a week's pay for me.
Anyhoo. Today will be ledgers and laundry. I made stroganoff for supper last night. I used the quick and easy version of the recipe in the 1976 Betty Crocker cookbook. I omitted the mushrooms because I'm allergic, but it was pretty stinking tasty! There's enough left that I may have it for lunch today. We didn't eat supper until after 8:00 last night. Pop ran late from work.
In other news, my lemon trees are budding again! Yay! If possible, I'd like to try and shampoo my rug today. I need to vacuum first, and then shampoo it, but it needs it. I'll most likely do the rest of the house, too.
Supper tonight is tostadas. I'm looking forward to it. Oh! We have 13 tomatoes now! The peas are super happy as well. I need to start researching what apple trees I'd like to plant. I'd like a good eating apple and a good cooking apple. Mom requested an apricot tree. I don't think I'll get any more grapes. I think I may look into a nectarine tree or a peach tree. That should complete our little orchard.
There's a lot to do and a lot of planning to be done. I need to stop yakking for now and get ready for the day. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
