Today's Bible Reading-Micah Chapters 3-7 and Nahum Chapter 1.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 82°, sunny, no rain, good air quality, winds are currently from the northeast at 7 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 84%.

Happy October! The month that summer ends here in my state. According to the radar, it looks like we'll be getting some cooler weather starting this weekend. Of course, weather can always change. That's what it does. I'm looking forward to it, though.

In other news, the washer hookup is fixed! No more leaks. The washer is still wonky, but the water isn't leaking from the valves anymore. I imagine that our water bill will be lower than this past bill, but still a little high. We'll see.

Today, I have things to do. The problem is that I can't remember what they are! I was going to make a list yesterday and I completely forgot to do it. This morning, I'm wracking my brain, trying to remember what I'd planned on doing today.

Oh, it's starting to come back to me. I bought this little fall cat scratching house at Aldi the other day. It was on clearance. I got it for Thelma. Cutest little digs you've ever seen. I put it together and put it on the porch. Don't you know that one of the neighbor's cats came over and used it as a littler box! Poo everywhere. Poo on the porch, too. So, I need to toss that today and wash the porch.

Also, I need to clean Gracie's fountain. It's time to change the filter. Laundry is on the list today as well, and Mom requested to go to Ross. Or somewhere. She just wants to get out.

That's my agenda today. Supper today will be leftovers from yesterday. I pulled the chicken out of the fridge yesterday morning to cut it up into pieces. I'd bought a whole chicken because it was cheaper. Guess what. It was still frozen solid. A whole 24 hours in the fridge and it didn't thaw at all. I had to run to the store and get some chicken, so I bought a package of drumsticks and a package of thighs. Y'all. Chicken is getting expensive! Almost $7 a pound for the thighs and over $8 a pound for the drums.

Anyhoo. I made Puerto Rican fried chicken. It was really good. It almost tasted like KFC's original recipe. For the sides, I made real mashed potatoes, rainbow carrots for a splash of color, and Mom requested gravy, so I made a packet of country gravy. Basically milk gravy. Dinner was late thanks to the chicken issue, but I can use that chicken later. I'm thinking that if the radar is correct, I may make chicken and dumplings for Sunday dinner.

We had enough leftovers from dinner yesterday to have a meal tonight, so I'll just reheat everything and we'll finish that off.

Oh, I had another fiasco yesterday. I was almost finished with my sock, and I unknowingly made a fatal error with it. Somewhere, somehow, I dropped a stitch. That created a host of problems and I ended up having to unravel the whole stinking thing and start over. *sigh* Yesterday was a tough day for me.

That's all I have for now, peeps. Fish need fed and I need to get around for the day. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
