God gives and takes away. There is a time for all things.
We are designed for both I submit, to give and take; to work for and expect a good ROI (Return On Investment).
I can't help but think of Job. God gave Job plenty. He then allowed Satan to take away a lot. God then gave Job plenty more because he was humble, respectful, obedient and trustworthy.
We reap what we plant. We are called to be wise stewards and cheerful givers of our time, talent and treasure.
Our grip shouldn't a clenched fist nor a flat hand but a cupped hand so good stuff can flow in and out for He gives and takes away
God desires to bless His children. God desires His children to be a blessing.
this is symbolic…for sooner or later, what goes around, comes around for that is a principle in His design.
That why Scripture compels us to not think of our own interest but also the interest of others…and may our own interest be of God's interest, a collaborative partnership.
We can't out give God, but we should take notice… how much more and better can I think, feel and do?
We are to help the weak, the orphan, the widow...not the lazy, ungrateful and those unwilling to work.
It's best not to borrow or be in debt in the first place. If so, we need to pay what we owe. Yet, it is even better to live below our means to give generously.
The bottom line is that God desires a partnership in this life, with Him as CEO and us as his trusty co-worker, friend, & partner.
David had his band of brothers. I hope and vow to be that band for my partners of KVS
I hope, pray and shall endeavor that our partnership will uphold these precepts.
