Today's Bible Reading- Isaiah Chapters 35-38.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 85°, cloudy with some sun, 30% chance of rain, good air quality, light smoke hazard, winds are coming from the northeast at 9 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 92%.
It's an early morning for me. I woke up at 6:30 this morning. Gracie was howling. Pop was getting ready to leave for work and she thought that meant everyone was supposed to be up. I usually wake up around 6:30 anyways, but I was hoping to sleep in a little. Grace wasn't howling for me, though. When I got out of bed to see what the problem was, she was intensely looking into Mom and Pop's bedroom, waiting for Mom to roll out of bed.
She's had her nom noms, and is snuggled on my bed. I put one of the sheets over her because she's cold. I had to turn my a/c on because it was so stuffy in my room. I've been turning it off at night because Gracie gets cold and I know how cold and arthritis go. I'm trying to be accommodating for her, but in the mornings, I usually turn the unit back on.
The sheets are clean. Gracie was working on a hairball, and I'd also given her her flea medicine. She always gets a little upset tummy with that. I hate giving it to her for that reason, but it's the lowest dose available. It does help her with fleas, though. I'll give it that. Anyhoo, she puked all over my bedspread and it went straight through to the mattress topper. I had to take everything off and wash it. I did get my laundry done, thank the Lord.
In other news, I finished another sock and started its mate. I also found a vintage pattern that uses larger yarn and comes in three sizes! I may try that! I'm wondering if I could use a 3-weight yarn and my 3mm circulars to make a sock. I don't know. If I can do that, I may make my dad a pair. He was really impressed with the one I finished yesterday. I'd make Mom socks, but she doesn't wear them with her compression hose.
Thelma also thought that since everyone was up that it was time for breakfast. I guess it's going to be one of those days. I do have the menu ready, and half of my devotion time is done. I still need to read my Bible and have my prayer time. I'm going to need it today.
Okay, peeps. Gracie woke up and is demanding attention. I'll stop here for now. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
