Today's Bible Reading- Proverbs Chapters 3-8.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 91°, sunny, 40% chance of rain this afternoon, good air quality, winds are currently from the southwest at 6 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 87%.
It's going to be another hot one today, peeps. Unfortunately, I have some garden duties I've been neglecting. I have some cucumbers to harvest, some beans to harvest, and I need to weed the area around the cukes so I don't draw in snakes. We have some nasty ones around here, the copperhead being the worst of the bunch.
Also, I should probably try to harvest some potatoes today. It's been dry the last few days, so I'd like to get them harvested before rain comes in. Wet potatoes mildew quickly.
Thank the Lord, I do have a hat to wear, and I have water to drink. I also have plenty of aloe vera gel. I'll probably just brush my teeth and change into some dirty clothes and get the garden stuff done before it gets too hot. Then I'll jump in the shower and get some clean clothes on.
Later today, I'll have to head over and pick up a prescription for Mom. I forgot she told me one was available this week.
Other than those few things, I'm going to be staying cool. Our heat index will probably be over 100° today. Last night around 8:00, it was still 93° with a real feel of 99°. Weird weather, but I want to take advantage of the dryness to get the potatoes in.
Speaking of potatoes, I had to toss a bag of them yesterday. They went bad. Whew, were they stinky! I also have an onion that's sprouted in the kitchen. I mean, it does stay in the 80s in the kitchen, so I can understand. That's why we keep the cat food in the bedrooms where the a/c units are. I keep Gracie's prescription food in the fridge.
That's all I have for now, peeps. I need to get out and about before it gets too hot. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
