Today's Bible Reading- 2 Chronicles Chapters 18-21.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 77°, mostly sunny, patchy fog this morning, 10% chance of rain, good air quality, wind is calm at the moment, and humidity is sitting at 97%.
A beautiful, cool morning this morning. We're currently 58°, the sun is shining through the window, some of it spilling onto Gracie. She's cold and I'm a little chilly, so the heater is going. My bed is already made, thank the Lord.
Happy Memorial Day. While you're having your cookouts, barbecues, and whatever else it is that you do on this holiday, please remember that today was set aside to remember the men and women who have given their lives to keep this country safe. I was watching Calvary Chapel Chino Hills yesterday, and it was such a good service. The pastor, Jack Hibbs, was reminding people of what Memorial Day is about. I highly recommend the service. You can find it on YouTube. Real Life with Jack Hibbs is the channel name.
I'll be doing things today, but it'll be mostly in my room. Y'all. I have so much stuff. I'm overwhelmed. I have college textbooks that are now defunct, but I paid so much money for them, I hate to toss them. I've asked the Lord to help me figure out how to best organize my room today.
Gracie is not adjusting well to the new dresser. I moved the old one into the den. I have yet to move the clothes and other items to the new one, so I go in there often. I woke up this morning around 3:00. I'd fallen asleep listening to old radio programs. Well, I went to use the restroom, and as I looked out the door and across the hallway, I saw Gracie huddled up next to the old dresser in the den, looking like she'd lost her best friend. I may have to move the dresser back into my room. I don't know where it'll go, but that was the saddest look I've ever seen on my cat's face.
Dealing with my room today is my big thing. For supper, we'll be grilling hot dogs, and I'm going to make a small batch of potato salad. We have leftover mac and cheese and slaw from yesterday. That'll go well. I think I have a can of baked beans, too.
That's about all I have for today, folks. I need my second cup of coffee, and I need to get around for the day. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
