National Library Week is the annual celebration of the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. Beyond all the books on the shelves, our library buildings tell thousands of stories through events, interactions, activities, and resources.

Drop in any day during National Library Week to get an up-close look at materials, services, and resources you might not know we offer. Learn something new, ask questions, and discover all the amazing things available to you with your CMPLD card!

SUNDAY, APRIL 23

Aspen Drive Library	Sign Me Up! eNewsletters & Book List Emails 2–4 pm Learn how to stay up-to-date on Library happenings and get genre book lists straight to your inbox. Plus, learn how to change your preferences to receive only the email topics of your choice.
Cook Park Library	Turn It Up to Eleven: Synthesizer & Digital Studios 2–4 pm Live out your '80s music dreams! Get an up-close look at the synthesizer. Plus, learn about the other amazing, free audio and visual tools available in the Digital Studios.

MONDAY, APRIL 24

Database Deep Dive 11 am–2 pm
Research topics or learn new skills with help from our robust list of 80+ online databases, including Consumer Reports, Creativebug art classes, LinkedIn Learning, and so much more — all free with your CMPLD card.

Check These Out! Circulating Equipment 6–8 pm
Get an up-close look at the various tech items available for checkout, including Rokus, mobile hotspots, and gaming systems.

If we don't have what you're looking for, we'll help you get it from our partner libraries through Interlibrary Loan and LINKin.

There's an App for That: CMPLD App & eLibrary 6–8 pm Keep the Library in your pocket with convenient, free apps for eBooks, eAudiobooks, TV shows, movies, comics, and more. Plus, get an overview of the Cook Memorial app.
Cook Park Library	Zip, Zap: Laser Cutter Demo 11 am–2 pm Watch this creative tool in action! This powerful machine cuts and engraves digital files onto a number of materials.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26

Aspen Drive Library	All About Library Home Delivery 12–2 pm The Library can deliver materials seniors and people with disabilities that keep them homebound. Let us tell you how. Bookmobile Seek & Find 2–4 pm It's National Bookmobile Day! Find the Bookmobile in the parking lot and hop aboard for a fun scavenger hunt.
