Seven-time Super Bowl Champion, five-time Super Bowl MVP, and three-time league MVP Tom Brady announced his retirement from football once again. After retiring last year on Feb. 1, 2022 and then subsequently announcing he was coming back to the NFL on March 13, 2022, the 45-year-old announced his definitive retirement from professional football this  Feb. 1.

A man deemed and recognized as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time revealed the news in a video uploaded to Instagram and said, "I'm retiring… for good."

After retiring last year and then returning to the NFL for the season, Brady's relationship with his wife, Gisele Bündchen, was in jeopardy. The pair ended up getting a divorce in October of last year because Bündchen was reportedly sick of Brady putting his career before his family.

Brady proceeded to play in the 2022 season as he led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the playoffs, where they lost in the wild card round to the Dallas Cowboys. The season was a disappointment for Brady and the Buccaneers as they finished 8-10. It was Brady's first losing record over his 23-year career in the NFL.

Growing up, football fans got to watch some fantastic, talented quarterbacks: Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Eli Manning, Ben Rothelisberger, and Tom Brady. All of these skilled and accomplished players have now retired, but Brady has garnered much well-deserved recognition as the best out of these renowned  quarterbacks.

Stephen A. Smith, a sports television personality for ESPN, said this about Brady on First Take: "He will be remembered as the greatest ever!" Out of all the great quarterbacks to ever play, senior Alexander Stoyanovich said, "Tom Brady is the best quarterback to ever touch a football, without question."

A lot of football fans grew up idolizing Brady as he is a winner and one of the greatest to ever play the game. His prowess and dedicated commitment to football will continue to be an inspiration to all who love the game like Brady does.
