To mark the 10th anniversary of the Vital signs report, MK Community Foundation held a launch event for their local partners and community groups in Middleton Hall, centre:mk.
The event on February 3rd also included the launch of an interactive public display to showcase their work, which will remain in place in the centre for the rest of the month.
MK Community Foundation is a leading grant-making charity sending funding where it's needed most in Milton Keynes. Vital Signs® MK, is their annual publication, reviewing the current research on the issues facing the communities of Milton Keynes across 12 areas of measurement: diversity, poverty and disadvantage, health and wellbeing, work, economy, education, crime and safety, transport, environment, stronger communities, housing and arts and culture.
They have also created an interactive public exhibition in Middleton Hall which will be on display until the end of February, which showcases their work, giving visitors the opportunity to find out more using QR codes that would link to more information.
By bringing the exhibition into the heart of the city, which will be seen by a significant amount of people, will build awareness of the vital work that they do. The exhibition will also look back on the last 10 years to show how Milton Keynes has changed, including the latest census data.
Kevin Duffy, Centre Director commented, "We are delighted to be able to offer such a prominent location to MK Community Foundation to showcase their initiatives through the Vital Signs event and exhibition. To give them more visibility within the heart of the city helps to drive the funding they need and helps to spread the word about the important projects they help deliver, making Milton Keynes a better place for everyone.
