The saying is, there are no perfect slings, believe it.
It's 4 a.m. on day 3 1/2 and I can't sleep...again. There is no sleeping with something digging into your neck, while your elbow is squished against cloth, your arm bent and held against your body, and worst of all...not being able to lay down. Sleep deprivation takes on a whole new meaning, so does typing with one finger.
The sling is a necessary torture device. My arm longs to be free and so do I. ONLY 4-6 weeks left to go.
Things I have learned so far:
It's good to have a perfect daughter.
Arms are heavy.
If you are intent on breaking something, break a bone in your foot (been there a couple times and it's a piece of cake, believe me)
If you absolutely must break your arm, make sure it's your non-dominate one (unfortunately, I did not do this).
Learning to do things left handed isn't as much fun as one might think.
I can't drive.
Cats cannot open their own cans of cat food and neither can I.
I can't speed walk everyday.
It takes a long time to do things that would normally take a minute.
Cats refuse to help with household chores, no matter how small, or no matter how nicely you may ask.
Cats have no problem sleeping when you can't, and simply refuse to stay awake in order to entertain you.
It's good to love reading...if u break something.
We are breakable. Evolution needs to step up her game.
Shoes cannot be tied with one hand...at least not by me.
I can't draw with my left hand.
Well. it's 5 a.m. so more later. Have a fun weekend and try not to break anything.
