Remind Me What Season it Is

Today's Bible Reading- 2 Corinthians Chapters 4-6.

Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 62°, 30% chance of rain, and air quality in the green.

It was raining when I got up yesterday morning, but it ended up being a beautiful, spring-like day. We bought our Christmas tree. They were a lot more affordable than what I'd been seeing online. Still more expensive than two years ago, but not to the point it was discouraging.

The tree is home, in its stand, enjoying a 1:1 ratio of water and Sierra Mist. Sprite works better, but Sierra Mist was what we had on hand. We left it alone so it could bush out overnight, and we'll be decorating it today.

We had leftovers last night for supper. I'm pleased to say that it was much better than the originals! Mom told me how to reheat the turkey so it wouldn't be super dry, and I did, but the turkey wasn't even close to being heated through. So, I followed the same method, but in the microwave.

The original idea to reheat the turkey was to put some aluminum foil in the bottom of a glass baking dish, put a little water in, put the turkey in, and then make an aluminum foil tent so the turkey would steam heat. Then you bake it at 225° for around 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the turkey was still cold. Boo.

I took the turkey out of the oven, put it on a plate, put a little water in the bottom of the plate, made a little canopy of plastic wrap over the plate, and then reheated the turkey on the dinner plate reheat setting. It came out super moist. Even Pop commented on it.

As we were eating, we watched some funny videos and tv shows. We all got to laughing so hard that my bronchitis cough came back. It almost sounded like croup. It was awful. I had it the rest of the evening.

Today, the plans are to decorate the tree and get some food for Sunday dinner. Mom and I have soup we can eat on Monday, so I'm not worried about that. I don't have anything for Sunday, though. Supper will probably be pizza.

That's all I have for now, folks. I've written this sans coffee, but I see Mom just got up. Pop will be up shortly, too, probably. I'm already showered and dressed. I just need to brush my teeth and have my devotions. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
