I don't have many "stand-alone" dies: most of them belong to matching stamps and stamp-sets. But several of my festive dies don't, and as such I've tended to overlook them.
Like this not-quite-square die. I can't remember where it came from, but it's been in my stash for several years (and, I suspect, a cheap knock-off, given the slightly off measurements). Probably collected in the first flush of excitement for a new hobby. And then never used.
It took me a couple of attempts to get a clean cut of the die: I don't normally use such detailed dies, so I didn't immediately think to try cutting it upside-down. But I got there in the end, and then had fun finding suitable places to attach double-sided sticky tape.
I did wonder about die-cutting in the mirror card, but I suspect such a detailed die might not work properly.
Fortunately, the metallic Delicata inks stamp quite well for a glittery sentiment without need of anything more. Doesn't even need a sprinkle of gems (I know! What am I saying?!). A nice, clean sort of card.
