Hello! Hope you're okay! Today's blog post is about the things I wish I knew before starting my blog! I've now been blogging for almost 2 and a half years and these are some things that I've learnt from blogging! If you're about to start a blog or a new blogger, I would definitely recommend remembering these things! I hope you like this post and comment what you've learnt since you started your blog!

Disclaimer - these things mentioned aren't designed to scare you or prevent you from starting a blog but they are things to keep in mind so you're not surprised by these things later on in your blogging journey!
Blogging Takes Up More Time Than You Might Expect
Before I started my blog, I thought that starting a website and writing blog posts will be quick but I was definitely wrong. Writing blog posts can take me around 30 mins once I've written and scheduled it! Also, recently I changed my blog layout and it took me a few hours to get my layout looking how I would like it! My advice would be to only do what you can manage (e.g. how many blog posts a week, how much promoting you do for your blog)
Planning/Writing Blog Posts In Advance Saves So Much Time/Stress
Being organised as a blogger is so important especially if you have other commitments. We all have a period where we don't have much time to blog so we have to write blog posts the night before but avoiding this will relieve so much stress! Whenever I go on holiday, I write and plan loads of blog posts beforehand and it's great not having to worry about writing blog posts whilst packing/unpacking and preparing for a holiday!
You Will Experience A Period Of Slow Growth
Sadly, it is very likely that you'll have a period of slow growth whether it's when you first start your blog or later on when you have less time to spend on your blog! But don't be discouraged by this because it will pick up eventually and you might have to do something different to change this (write different blog posts or use different promotion methods).
Coming Up With Blog Post Ideas Can Become Difficult After 1 Year
Especially during holidays, it can become difficult to come up with blog post ideas after a year because you've probably already written most of the main blog posts for that holiday/season last year! My advice would be to use Pinterest and search for blog post ideas and they will give you loads of inspiration! Also, there's no harm in doing a part 2 or series of a blog post you've already published especially if it was popular!
