Children have the chance to be a strength athlete for the day as The UK's Strongest Kid challenge is coming Midsummer Place Shopping Centre in Milton Keynes on Sunday May 1st.
The competition will be running from 11am-3pm inside the main entrance of the mall, with UK's Strongest Man Gavin Bilton there for photo and autograph opportunities as well as to cheer the children on.
The fun event will be open to children of all sizes and abilities, and is free to enter. Parents/Carers turn up on the day anytime between 11am and 3pm, register your child and let them take part! There will be four age groups: 4-6 Years, 7-9 Years, 10-12 Years, 13-16 years. Every child taking part will receive a UK's Strongest Kid certificate.
The best times in each boys and girls age group win family tickets to the UK's Strongest Man taking place at Stadium MK from 3-5 June.
Children will take on 3 strongman challenges – a Sack Carry, followed by a dumbbell press with each arm and finally 'The Atlas Stone' where a medicine ball must be lifted onto a keg. All weights are age appropriate with full supervision.
So why not pop down to Midsummer place on May 1st and let your future 'strongperson' show everyone just how strong they are!

Just turn up on the day any time from 11am onwards and register at the desk. You will be required to sign a waiver form.

The weights are age appropriate, and start from as little as 2kg for small children. We will have supervisors alongside the children to give them assistance if required, however the event is for fun, and is not designed to be too heavy.
How long will it take?
One the children are registered, they just need to wait their turn. It will only take a minute or two to do the challenge.
When are the winners announced?
We will announce the winners at 3pm. If the winners are not around, we will email the parent/carer to inform them.
