It is Cup Final day as we head to Wembley (Anfield South) to take on Chelsea in the final of the Carabao Cup. This is the first opportunity of the season to win silverware so I would love to get the trophy in the cabinet to set us up nicely to attack the rest of the competitions.

The Carabao Cup is never at the top of our priorities, but in my opinion once you get to the semi finals it is time to take it seriously and go for the trophy and that is pretty much how it played out.

Chelsea have won a few trophies this season already adding the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup to their cabinet on the back of their Champions League win last season. We know how tough this game will be after two draws in the league games this season.

We should have the majority of our players fit and available. Roberto Firmino has been ruled out and there is still a question mark of Jota's fitness but other than that everyone else is fit.

Prediction: Chelsea 1 - 2 Liverpool. The desire coming out from our players when they talk about the game is clear to see. They are desperate to get their hands on another trophy and they will back themselves to do so. I think with our options available we have the ability to change the game from the bench if required.

Onto the Starting Line Ups:

Here at Liverpool FC HQ, we have all selected the same team to start this Cup final and here is what they had to say:

Paul: 'I have the feeling this game is the start of a significant couple of months for us from now until May. Here's hoping we reap the benefits of the hard work the squad have put in the last few months and get our first piece of silverware postpandemic. We are in rude health right now and we need to overcome a Chelsea team who have quite a bit to prove. Tough game for sure, but I think we will edge it 3-1. Up the Reds.'

Joe: 'I wouldn't be surprised to see Klopp spring a surprise by chucking in Konate for Matip but I've gone for Joel in my eleven. Firmino has been ruled out and I think Jota is only fit enough for the bench so I think we will see him come on late in the game. Maybe for 20 minutes or so. I've got a feeling Jota will be on the scoresheet in a 2-1 win.'

Christian: It's great to be in another final and what a game this could be. While Putin fucks up the world and his country could it be nice to even for a while enjoy a game of football. With Firmino injured and Jota unlikely to start, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and January signing Luis Diaz are set to form the Liverpool front three at Wembley. Caoimhin Kelleher will start in goal and has his eye on becoming a Liverpool legend and for the rest of the team I think it picks itself. COYR.'

There you have it folks, let us know what you think of the line up we have picked, enjoy the game and hopefully we will celebrating afterwards.

Come on Redmen! Allez, Allez, Allez!!
