Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn | Kindle | An easy-read rom-com, perfect for curling up with during these dreary Winter days.
While Paris Slept by Ruth Druart | Kindle | A mother makes a heartbreaking choice in a story of love and courage during World War 2. You will be on tenterhooks. You will cry.
In Five Years by Rebecca Serle | Kindle | Romance, death and a what looks like a tiny peek into the future. A quick read, with an unexpected twist at the end.
The Lost Letter by Jillian Cantor | Kindle | In this novel the main character Katie discovers a letter in her philatelist father's collection that unlocks more than she and her new research companion Benjamin could ever imagine. A fantastic read for fans of World War II fiction who enjoy a letter storyline, and apparently based on a true story.
Tied Up in Tinsel by Ngaio Marsh | hardback, a Christmas gift | I wanted to enjoy this murder mystery, but truth be told, I've found it hard going. I've yet to get to the discovery of the dead body, but as all the main characters seem to be unpleasant, I don't really care which one will end up dead.
First published in the UK in 1972, it's not clear when the story is set and the language feels old fashioned. I may yet put this on the unfinished pile.
