Another year is ending and naturally, I just had to do a little round-up of all the beauty products (makeup and skincare) that I've managed to finish up this year. So, without further ado here are my beauty empties for 2021.
The first product I completed this year was my Drunk Elephant Lala Retro. I won't talk about this product in too much detail since I have a review of this product published already on my blog (which you can read here). In all fairness, this was a mini version, so I think it goes without saying that this was a really easy product to finish up this year.
The next product I finished this year was my Frank Body Anti-Angry Face Spray. This is one of my favourite products for a long time. Unfortunately, I don't think this product is in stock anymore; I'm not 100% sure, however, I do believe that this product has been discontinued, so I can't repurchase this. This was a hydrating rose-water face mist which is really it's just rose-water. The Frank Body face spray does not have an overpowering scent so, the main reason why I liked this spray was that it would give my skin an extra bit of hydration without a strong scent. This was just an extra product to make me expensive, so this is wasn't an important part of my skincare routine, but it was fun to use.
Another Frank Body product I finished this year was their Anti-Drama Face Mask. Compared to the face masks I've previously bought from The Body Shop (I've reviewed these face masks previously on my blog, you can read that blog post here), I definitely prefer the Frank Body face masks. This face mask is essentially a charcoal face mask (don't worry you don't have to pull and tug at your skin with this one, once it dries down and washes off very easily with water), so it's great for cleansing the skin. Since I already have two cleansers that are part of my regular skincare routine, I only use this face mask approximately once every week so I don't overly strip my skin down too much. Also, since I don't use it very often this product did last me a long time (and I have since repurchased it). This is another product I use as a treat for my skin, just to relax and calm down. Overall, it's a lovely face mask.
Now the next product I managed to finish TWICE in the last year and that was The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% (a vitamin C serum). This is another product that I have reviewed in more detail on my blog so again, I won't go into too much detail about this product (you can read that review here). All I'll say is that this is one of my favourite serums of all time and I have already repurchased my third bottle.
My moisturiser (I believe this is the only product part of my entire skincare collection that is not cruelty-free) is the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel. This is a really basic and fragrance-free moisturiser that I have been loving the last few years and I have repurchased this product a couple of times as well. I managed to finish two bottles of this product this year and I'm currently using up my third.
Finally, I haven't been able to finish a lot of makeup products this year, there were a lot of setbacks (lockdown being one of them - I'm not the kind of person who wears makeup at home so since I wasn't going out much I didn't wear much makeup). Because of this I just have one makeup product to put on this list: my Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in the shade Fenty Glow. This was the only makeup product I managed to finish. I still have until the end of this month until I write up my final project pan update so maybe by then I'll be able to finish more makeup products. But right now, it's just this lipgloss.
And that's it for my makeup and skincare empties of 2021. I know I don't have a lot of makeup products on this list, but I did manage to finish a lot of my skincare products! So, this was still somewhat a successful blog post since I had some products to talk about. As usual, thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.
