Fans of the Montalbano tv series will recognise some of the views below from the wonderful panoramas shown at the beginning of each programme.

Whilst the Vigata of the Montalbano books was inspired by the author's home town of Porto Empedocle, near Agrigento, the tv series was set in a number of places on the eastern side of Sicily, notably Scicli and Ragusa, plus the coast a bit further south.
