Work has always been Dog eat Dog but it's shouldn't be anymore. Job Step Up is Cat claw Cat, Crab grab Crab but that shouldn't be anymore. Skilled Essential Workers now have the Power to choose because more are leaving their jobs than people filling those urgent vacancies. Not satisfied of one Job Offer or not feeling it? No Probs. We skip on to the Next. Settling is past. Better is the future. Threat to Health and Life, Burnout and Work Stress, just few of the major reasons some many not go back to the Job Pool for awhile or ever. For the time being, Customer's needs, demands and wants have doubled or more. Staying Alive and Happy clearly became top priorities for Workers. If old school Employers don't adapt, 2022 and onwards will get worse for them particularly when Seasonal COVID Surges happen in areas that have not reached Endemic stability. No Workers, No Business.
I could be impressive the way you want me to be impressive,
but that would be fake.
Employers, Hiring Reps and Interviewers wants to be swept off their feet, almost like courtship from Interview Process to Orientation Probation. When the whirlwind platonic romance is over and New Employee secured the Job, Real Attitude and Job Performance begins. Like Marriage, some Worker-Management-Employer relationships are successful, others end in unhappy, ugly, resentful, frustrating Divorce or Separation.
I could impress you with words that are stunning on paper,
but that would be deception and trickery.
I could dazzle you. I could wow you. I could distract you to only see the best and blur out the worst, but I won't. That would be called Scamming. Professionals, Employers and Customers should never tolerate False Pretenses, but some do.
I can be super nice and icing sweet if that pleases you,
but in Critical and Emergency situations needing quick thinking and intervention, sweetness and nice won't save health and life. Experience, Knowledge, Wisdom, Decisiveness and Toughness will.
Many that are sweet and delicious are so bad for our health. But we get them anyways
I could be spicy hot, if fire, hyper positivity and high energy is your thing,
but that would be exhausting. In the end, all that euphoria will crash and burn. It's unsustainable in a Job that requires consistency, efficiency and patience.
Hot and Spicy? Sure. Extra? Of course. More? Why not. I could be anything your prepared list of questions wants me to be. I aim to please, I please to aim. It's what Sellers do.
I could present myself as cookie cutter perfect that fits perfectly to your Pre-Molded Job Profile,
Or I can just be my myself. Honest, sincere, transparent, reliable, hard working, driven, passionate, creative, excited, motivated, funny, Team Player, calm and confident under pressure.
A Winner Employee is someone that makes everyone feel like they are Winners too. A Winner Employee gives Joy, Inspiration, Relief and Fresh Energy to everyone without trying because that is just who they are, being who they are. They are Givers and Movers. They are 25% of whom Employers Hire by Luck.
Bonus Plus, you will get only the Best that will surprise you in so many ways with concrete actions that translates high productivity, excellent customer service, inspiration and motivation to the entire Work Team. A valuable Asset and Loyal Ally.
Our Inner Beauty comes out naturally and doesn't need selling. If the Interviewer can't see how lucky they are to have us, it's their loss. The Right Job, with the Right Boss at the Right Time will come along.
Finally, I could act and sell myself the way you want me to,
but we both will loose because I'm so bad in Acting.
A great Employee has both the right balance of Horns and Halos. Tough and Kind. Firm and Giving. Opinionated and Good Listener.
I am however good with Doing, Problem Solving and Delivering Great Results.

The line between keeping Humans Alive and Death is a Highly Seasoned Medical Worker that knows what they are doing even with their eyes closed.
This is me, on my Job Interview.
I may not get the Job for being too authentic, honest, direct and different. But that's okay. I am not changing me to please you.
My work and the satisfaction of an excellent Job Performance expressed by Real Patients, Customers, Co-Workers and the Medical Team should have been enough. Wasn't I Employee of the Year?
I could be more, so I'm doing it whether at my current or the unknown moving forward. Everyday is always a New Day.

I trust my Heart or so called Gut Feeling when I decide to do a major Job Move. I pray that I make the right choice and God indeed wants me to get it. Faith and Fate to me are important, not just what I want.
It is highly possible I may even say No once offered the job if God says, "Hold on Mr. Excited. Think. Is this really what will make you Happy? Or perhaps we can modify things at your current work so you find Happiness there once more? Remember Mindfulness? Maybe you need to give People another chance. They may surprise you like you surprised me."
God does work in mysterious ways. No doubt in that. His plans always bigger than ours.
People who truly cares will always speak the truth and do the right thing. These are the People you want to be the Faces of your Company because Customers will rate and judge you based on the Worker that took care of them that represented you. Customers will remember and share their bad experience and review to thousands, if not millions via Social Media and Word by Mouth. If you are into Money and Profits, then that's millions of loses.
Customers are always right. Customers only deserve the best for what they pay for. Customers will determine if your Company will survive and remain profitable in the midst of Uncertainty, Pandemic and Inflation. Many Companies closed for good because of the Economic Effects of COVID in less than 2 years. What makes your Company invulnerable and special?
"We can't judge a Good Worker based on their Job Interview. Some are so Bad at it that they appear sabotaging their own chances. So, trust your Gut. Do your Research by asking real people a prospect applicant works with on a daily basis. Talk to their Customers or Patients in person or by phone. Few minutes of going above and beyond will save your Company and Workplace, months to years of monetary loss, headache and Mental Anguish."
For the Interviewer, how you ask your questions, your response, your tone of voice, body language, honesty and sincerity are all being observed and noticed by the Interviewee. The Interview Process is a Two Way Street. The Interviewee is observing and judging you Subjectively while you are observing and judging them Subjectively. Success of getting only the Best depends on both ends having the same conclusion.
Many Job Applicants are not desperate for a Job. They already have a Job but are looking for change, challenge and better. Many Job Applicants are just testing the waters. Too Hot, Too Cold, Too Weird, Too Distant, Too Inclusive, Too Strict, Too Aggressive, Too Judgemental, Too Apathetic are Red Flags to them as they are Red Flags to you.
Many Job Applicants now want a Workplace where they are valued and appreciated. Trust and Transparency are big deal. The Younger the applicant, the more they are into Purpose, Connection Happiness and Fun. Money is secondary. Precisely why we can't explain what happened to the record high 4.3 Million American Workers who quit their Job August and choose not to go back into the Work Force.
Millions of Experienced American Workers and Professionals fell of the grid taking with them valuable, irreplaceable Knowledge, Skills, Wisdom and Heart. New Grads and Inexperience New Hires can not just magically fill enormous vintage and retro shoes left behind by their Predecessors. In a COVID Dominated World, that is chaos and danger when anytime, another cycle of Pandemic Surge will happen.
COVID changed how People view and approach Work. It also opened their eyes to many opportunities and truths that once were hidden or neglected.
Power to the People, Power to the Workers have just began. We have not seen the Great Exodus of Workers yet. In 2022 alone, about 650,000 Highly Trained and Skilled Nurses will retire. Where are we getting their replacements? Travel Nurses are just bandaid and they have the say which Interviewer to accept or deny based on highest bidder. And they do deserve to get paid $10,000 per week for working in an environment where they can get infected and die.
Workers today know their value and are going for what's valuable to them.
Workers today have changed and they will continue to keep changing because they are evolving, adapting, thriving and surviving.
Workers are in a Great Awakening where their needs and wants have become as important as their Employers, Leaders and CEO's.
COVID wasn't all bad, it did have its indirect good effects on People's ability to live better by choosing themselves first. Self Care wasn't as important until the Pandemic came, wasn't it?
COVID opened Doors and Windows of Opportunities, Freedom and Perks that wasn't there before for Workers everywhere. And we are seizing them.
Power to the Little People, though obviously we've Grown Bigger, Taller, Bolder and definitely Wilder and Adventurous.
Workers are creating Ripples that are changing the World and Society. That is scary for everyone who placed us all in Trap Boxes and Labels all these years.
Empathetic Leadership is the new gold standard by which Workers will decide whether to stay or go from their roles or accept a job offer or not.
Empathy begins at the Hiring and Interview Process.
