It also means that Shimelle is running her annual class, Learn Something New Every Day. As with the previous few years, I'm recording what I've learned throughout September here. Day 1: A new recipe always takes much longer to prepare and serve than anticipated. Day 2: The Boy will most likely have outgrown his new school trousers by half-term. Day 3: Sometimes its simply easier to let Dennis, my hair dresser, talk non-stop. Day 4: Going out for brunch is never as harmonious and peaceful as I hope it will be. Day 5: Our 'we-drive-everywhere' friends thought walking around the lake at Osterley was tiring.
