The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bongo District Peter Ayinbisa has called on Scientists across the globe to come and ascertain whether there is truth in the grapevine information on the sexual potency of the water drunk by residents of Bongo.

The DCE in an interview with Bolgatanga-based Dreamz FM indicated that he has been told stories of how water people of Bongo drink make the women fertile and the men sexually active.

He acknowledged that it is not scientifically proven but tends to agree because of the spate of teenage pregnancies in the District.

His comment has earned Bongo a place in the trends with several Ghanaians requesting to visit Bongo to drink their water and have a feel of the District.

Reacting to his comments, Peter Ayinbisa indicated that it is his wish that scientists come to the District and research on whether the water truly aids in sexual activeness.

"But of course, I would wish some water deposits in the district will seek to heal people in that manner. It will be a wish for me that there is a water deposit in a community in Bongo that when one drinks it, the water will do that magic, and heal people in that nature.

The reason is, this situation has become serious in some communities where if you are married for three years without a child, families will begin to raise issues for you. So, it will be a great asset if we have such water in the district. So, I except, and call on scientists to come and conduct research and see how true this would be", he stressed in an interview on Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
