Thursday, May 31, 2021, 4:00 a.m. IST ANI microblogging site is the source of this information. According to app researcher Jane Manchun Wong, Twitter may add new emotions to supplement its formerly star-shaped, now heart-shaped like button. According to The Verge, the assets Wong discovered, which have previously been reliable predictions of future features, show 'cheer,' 'hmm,"sad,' and 'haha' emoji reactions, though some currently only have a place holder emoji. Since 2016, Facebook has seen a similar set of reactions. However, Wong's leak suggests that Twitter may be taking a slightly different approach to which moods it wants users to express: Twitter, like Facebook, has both laughing and sad expressions.
Twitter does not appear to have the 'angry' expression that Facebook does, but this could be because Twitter's reply and quote tweet functions handle anger. The Verge reported on another look at this feature when Twitter asked users in a survey a few months ago about the addition of emoji reactions. In response to a comment request, Twitter stated once again that it is 'always exploring additional ways for people to express themselves in conversations.'
