Today's Bible Reading- Ezekiel Chapters 32-33
September's Memory Verse- Acts 5:29
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 82°, cloudy, winds from the northeast at speeds up to 11 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 84%.
On this date, 23 years ago, a heinous attack was made on our country. Thousands of lives were lost, and to this day, people can still remember where they were when they found out what was going on.
My sister's birthday is on the 10th, and Mom had made sure she'd had a good birthday. She let us sleep in on the 11th. We were homeschooled but Mom still required us to be dressed and sitting at our desks by 8:30 in the morning. We usually did school until between 2:30 and 3:00 in the afternoon. Anyhoo. I woke up because the phone was ringing. It was Gram. She told us to turn the tv on because a plane flew into the World Trade Center.
While those dastardly deeds have changed our world forever, I won't let myself be bound in fear. I have to admit, though, that hearing planes and helicopters today gives an uneasy feeling. There's a Duke Energy helicopter making loopies around my area right now. I know it's them because I was like, why is a helicopter flying so low? Must have something to do with all the construction down the road.
Now. What's on the agenda today? Finishing laundry. I ended up making the banana pudding yesterday. The bananas were almost too ripe to use. Supper is supposed to be Philly cheesesteaks and tater tots, but I unintentionally used one of the peppers for the breakfast bake. I'll have to get another one. Mom's insulin came in last night, so I have to pick that up. I may try to weed eat in the back yard today. See if I can get that lush bit worn down a little. Especially since the grass is so dry right now.
There was something else. Oh! I need a socket thing for my blinky bulb. I was able to access the ledgers yesterday. Took me half the day to access them. Ridiculous. Then, I had to set up transfers all over again and make passwords and all kinds of crap. It literally took half the day. Hopefully it's fixed now. We'll see.
The mower. I don't know what to do about that. That's why I'm thinking of weed eating a little. The rest of the yard isn't that bad. It's just that lush bit. The army worms don't seem to care for that grass.
I need to feed the fish. See if they have enough water in the sump tank. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow. That will help a lot. I also need to send my sister a belated happy birthday.
That's all I have for today, peeps. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
