Hey Everybody!
This morning I had a follow up hematologist appointment. I had to get a couple procedures done, including a bone marrow biopsy and a CT scan. I also had labs drawn at the office today. Their concern is a slow growing bone cancer, though it most likely is just an autoimmune disease. I have an enlarged spleen and low platelet count, which is why the concern. Though I don't have any symptoms besides that to indicate for it. They just have to rule it out.
So when you got somewhere that treats cancer patients, you are expected to mask up.
As much as I hate wearing a mask, and don't see how a flimsy paper mask that doesn't have the securest of fits will do as much to protect the immunocompromised as they are claimed to, I wore it.
The past few days have been hot and pretty smoky. We hit 100° (or a little higher) in the Portland metro area yesterday. I have definitely been feeling the effects from the smoke coming into the valley from the wildfires burning in this part of the country.
While I was out today, I ran errands after my doctor's appointment, I was noticing the trees that were starting to change colors. Once this weekend is over, it's supposed to be more fall like weather, which I am excited for.
